This cookbook has been produced to celebrate the 36th Anniversary of The Dusit Thani, Bangkok hotel, and as s tribute to the Dusit Group's Founder and Honorary Chairperson, Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, who has contributed to Thailand's hotel and hospitality industry for more than 50 years.
Thanpuying Chanut declared that her first hotel, opened nearly half a century ago, should be an expression ot Thailand and its culture. Since that time this has been an article of faith for every one of Dusit Hotels and Resorts.
Food is a signficant component of every culture. Nowhere is this more true than in thailand, and nowhere is Thai culture more signficantly affirmed in an international setting than in the hotels and resorts of the Dusit Group.
This Dusit cookbook celebrates the Thai Way of Life as it is experienced through the cuisine, hospitality and Thai setting exemplified by the Dusit Hotels and Resorts signature Thai restaurant, Benjarong.

Its rich diversity, its healthy nature and its significance to Thai culture are presented in authentic and practical recipes created by the chefs of Benjarong and the Thai restaurants of the Dusit Hotles and Resorts.
Supporting the recipes from Bangkok and Central, North and Northeast Thailand and the Gulf and Andaman Sea coastal resorts is an introduction to each of the regions, its food, its people, and its cultural attractions.
